About Scouting

Scouting is a program that is year- round for boys ages 11-17. It is a program that teaches and promotes character, citizenship, and personal fitness for boys. Scouting consists of fun outdoor activities, leadership opportunities and exploration in career, hobby and special interests. Scouting builds, molds, and strengthens the character of boys into becoming productive citizens of society. Scouting is a great avenue for meeting and building lifelong friendships. It also builds self esteem, confidence, and responsibility, qualities that scouts carry and possess for a lifetime.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
