Scoutmaster Joseph Ingram, Sr., Assistant Scoutmaster DeNorris Lasseter, Jr., Darryl Nunnally; and other adult members of the committee are now accepting applications for new members to join this energetic and highly successful group of young men. Boy Scouts was founded 100 years ago and remains the largest voluntary youth movement in the world. The Atlanta Chapter of Boy Scouts of America was started in1916 and remains steadfast in preparing youth to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders in society. Under the able leadership of dedicated men and women, Troop 290 has been extremely effective in guiding young men in building character, citizenship, leadership and physical fitness. More information about activities of the scouts can be obtained by visiting the newly dedicated Alonzo F. Brewer Scout Hut. Someone will be happy to assist you in getting interested young men signed up for this organization. If there are any questions, please contact Donald Miller at 678-517-3601 or Dorothy Hudson at 404-755-3691.
